The WIAA football playoffs reach the quarterfinal round on Friday, Nov. 6, with the remaining teams in all seven divisions now three wins away from a state championship game at Camp Randall Stadium. All of the featured Milwaukee-area games kick off at 7 p.m.

In Division 1, No. 2 seed Racine Case travels to No. 1 seed Muskego. Case has been building in recent seasons but is still looking for a breakthrough playoff win over an established power, and Muskego has been the obstacle: the Warriors ended the Eagles' 2025 season with a 34-6 win, and Case is trying to avoid a third postseason loss to Muskego since 2023.

Taking care of the ball tops the list for Case in the rematch. Muskego intercepted five passes in last year's playoff meeting, and the Eagles were held to 70 rushing yards on 23 carries, so establishing the run and staying out of long-yardage situations are central to Case's chances.

Case's defense gives the Eagles reason for confidence. The unit has allowed two scores or fewer in all but two of its 10 games this season, including six shutouts. Muskego, in its first season under head coach Ryan Lucchesi, has reached the quarterfinals five straight times dating back to 2020 and spreads carries among as many as six runners.

Other area quarterfinals on Friday include Arrowhead at Sussex Hamilton in Division 1, West Bend West at Union Grove in Division 2, and Lake Country Lutheran at Racine Lutheran in Division 5.
