The La Crosse Adventure Film Festival is marking its fifth anniversary with events from Oct. 13 to Oct. 17.
The week opens with La Crosse SOUP at Myrick Park, where four local nonprofits pitch outdoor ideas and attendees vote on the night's funding. The groups listed are Mount La Crosse Ski Patrol, Outdoor Recreation Alliance Trails, Horse Sense and the Coulee Region Humane Society.
Wednesday brings family-focused shorts at the Pump House. Thursday at Mt. La Crosse adds live storytelling and an adventure rig showcase.
Friday at Coulee Region Arts focuses on films about public lands and the elements. Saturday's finale is at the Rivoli, where the audience votes for winners.
